Your exclusive use is from 11.30am on the day of your wedding and you will have a suite of 7 rooms in the main house, a lovely mix of period and modern spaces. This also includes use of vintage chinaware, table linen and tableware, access to the grounds and woodlands, use of the sports hall facility, garden games, access to prepare all the rooms the day before your wedding and complimentary honeymoon suite on the night of your wedding.

We have recently restored 4 dwellings onsite, totalling 20 en-suite rooms with shared lounges for up to 45 guests. This incorporates a mix of family, double and twin rooms.

We have 2 main function rooms in the main house. The Morning Room can accommodate up to 60 people for dinner and The Old Refectory can accommodate up to 110 people. For larger celebrations we have a space for a marquee accommodating up to 250 people which can attach onto the main house.

Yes, we have a license to carry out civil weddings both inside the main house and in outside areas. If you would like to say your vows at Tawstock Court you will need to contact Devon County Council to register Tel: 0345 155 1002

After receiving our quotation for your Wedding Package, if you wish to make a booking with us you should, within 30 days of the date of our quotation, return your signed booking form with a deposit of 10% of your hire charge.

Yes, you may provide your own wine and champagne during your wedding reception dinner subject to corkage charges. All other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks must be provided by Tawstock Court.

We are happy for you to book external companies, but they must contact the Venue in the first instance and provide us with requested documentation and information specified in our Terms & Conditions.

We have a well-stocked licensed bar in the main house serving a large range of different alcoholic drinks including a gin list and extensive wine list.

We have an accessible room located in the Stables dwelling at ground level which has a fully equipped disabled en-suite bathroom.

No, as part of our exclusive use, you and your guests will be the only visitors staying at Tawstock Court for your wedding day. If you choose a Wedding Package there may be other events on depending on the package you choose. 

Your quote is valid for 14 days but your date will only be secured once the 10% deposit is paid.

Yes but we ask that is natural biodegradable confetti please such as rose petals or dried flowers.
You will be able to have fireworks on the front lawn until 10.30pm. We also only permit whisper fireworks. We ask that you use our recommended professional fireworks company for this: or 
Yes, we do have some travel cots and high chairs available on a first come first serve basis. Please contact us if you wish to reserve any.
Yes, St Peters Church is just at the bottom of the front garden and it is available for weddings. You will need to contact the vicar for information and availability. Email:
They are very welcome to come and visit before your big day to familiarise themselves with the site and best places for photo opportunities within the grounds.

You need to confirm final numbers at least 14 days before your wedding day.
We have a variety of rooms that can be used to say your vows. Our panelled hall is very popular and can hold up to 90 people in total. We also have outdoor spaces available and this is for any amount of guests.
Yes, we are just 2 miles outside of Barnstaple – just a few minutes drive from the A361 link road. There are three different routes to get to the village of Tawstock and it is signposted when you get there.
There is a large conservatory lounge area attached to our accommodation dwellings which has beautiful views across the valley. This can be used by all guests staying with us. We also have a lounge in the main house for people who would like a quieter room.
We have a large field just behind our sports hall which is perfect for camping. There is also a large field at the top of our site just behind the woods with amazing views across Barnstaple and Tawstock Castle.
We are happy to be flexible with our catering options. Although by late 2019 we will have our own in-house catering team, we are still open to working with external caterers using our facilities at Tawstock Court.

We have a number of indoor spaces available in the main house along with a large sports hall facility which can hold anything from bouncy castles to badminton nets.
